Chalet Riparian
Surrounded by woodland and bordered by two streams, you'd think Chalet Riparian was in the middle of nowhere. In fact, it's right next to the telecabine, and just 200m from the centre of La Clusaz!
This newly-built chalet for 12 is a real find for guests who want the best of all worlds - it's ski-in, ski-out, with access to 220km of fabulous pistes across the Aravis. The ski bus stop is on your doorstep and La Clusaz's restaurants, bars, shops and ice rink are just a short walk away. Outside the ski season, the village boasts a modern watersports centre providing activities for all ages and a wellbeing area. The nearby Lake Annecy is another great place for swimming, paddleboarding, and sailing.
The chalet's wonderful garden has been landscaped to provide a peaceful haven with furnished terraces, built-in benches and evening lighting, perfect for long summer evenings.
With luxury extras such as a sauna and hot tub, and useful features such as a heated ski store, a lockable bike store, and a laundry room with a second fridge, Chalet Riparian has all the ingredients you need for an unforgettable mountain holiday.
IMPORTANT: Being centrally located, once you reach the chalet, you won't need to use your car! Vehicle access is via a private road that is steep in places, so in winter it is important that your car is fitted with the correct equipment (winter tyres/snow chains, ideally you need a 4x4 vehicle) and you are confident driving in snowy and icy conditions. About the property
You'll enter Chalet Riparian on the ground floor. There's plenty of room to store your outdoor equipment, skis and boots in the heated lockers in the entrance lobby and the laundry room is on this floor too. There are also two bedrooms - a twin room (which can also be set up as a double) and a bunk room for four, with an X-box. These rooms share a shower room.
Take the stairs up to the first floor, where you'll find three more bedrooms - a double room with en suite shower and access to a terrace, and two more en suite rooms with king size beds (one of which can be set up as a twin if this is preferred). Both of these rooms have balcony access, and one also has access to a terrace at the side of the chalet. All of the bedrooms have their own television, so there'll never be a fight for the remote control!
The spa area is also on the first floor: there's a sauna and shower as well as a sheltered terrace with a hot tub - relax in the bubbles and watch the skiers on the piste through the trees.
From the first floor the stairs lead to the centre of the living area on the top floor. On one side is the modern, well-equipped kitchen with an island breakfast bar, the large dining table and bookshelves, while on the other, comfortable sofas, chairs and coffee tables are grouped around a central fireplace and the television. This is where you can all get together to watch a film, share stories of your day and perhaps plan your next mountain adventure. Stairs lead down from this area to the terrace and garden to the rear of the chalet, where you can watch the sun set or perhaps enjoy a barbecue.

Nestled in the heart of the Aravis massif, it is only 30 min from Annecy and close to Le Grand-Bornand and Manigod. Its warm atmosphere and easy accessibility make it a popular destination year-round.
In winter, the resort provides easy access to the Aravis ski area, offering 210km of pistes that combine long descents and technical sectors across La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. The region also offers a variety of winter activities, including cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sledging, snow biking, ice diving and ice skating.
During the rest of the year, numerous hiking and biking trails lead to superb views over the Aravis, such as the Plateau des Glières. The village boasts a modern watersports centre providing activities for all ages and a wellbeing area. The nearby Lake Annecy is another great place for swimming, paddleboarding, and sailing. Other summer activities include via ferrata, climbing and paragliding, leaving you with a wealth of memories to take home.

Chalet of very high quality, spacious with all necessary equipment. Excellent concierge service and incredible location 50 meters from the ski lifts.

Perfect location, impeccable cleanliness, very functional layout, and tasteful decoration. Fully equipped and suitable kitchen accessories. Sauna and jacuzzi are clean and easy to use. The only drawback: the heating schedule is a bit too low in the evening and after 8 a.m. in the bathrooms.

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Riparian in La Clusaz is a five-bedroom, five-bathroom chalet with accommodation across three floors. We think it has one of the best locations in the area - by the ice rink and Beauregard Telecabin, with the village centre just 200m away and yet enjoying its own secluded garden edged by mountain streams. It's perfect for skiers and non-skiers.
After a day in the mountains, it's great to return to the chalet and relax in the sauna and hot tub before enjoying a pre-dinner apero on the terrace, underneath the stars. The only intrusion you may have is from the telecabine passing overhead during the day, the owners have landscaped the garden to ensure privacy as much as possible, and the hot tub is on a sheltered terrace on the opposite side of the chalet.
The garden at Chalet Riparian is being landscaped to provide terraced areas with built-in benches, and lighting will make it a delight in the evenings. Parents of young children will need to supervise them around the streams, but in the summer they will be a great place to cool off - one even has a small beach area in the forest.
The chalet has five shower rooms, three of them en suite, and although there are no baths, the sauna and hot tub make great places to relax and soothe any aching muscles.
A new private road makes access to the chalet easier. In winter the road is regularly cleared of snow, but you'll need snow chains and tyres or a 4x4, as well as good confidence in driving in snow to tackle the sharp incline.
If you'd prefer, you can park in town - the owners will provide sledges for you to bring your luggage the short distance to the chalet.

Surrounded by rivers on two sides, with the mountain behind, it feels remote and yet is only a couple hundred meters from the ski lift and the village.
It really is the best of both worlds.
The project to create a special chalet to enjoy the unique location took five years to complete, with a few challenges along the way! But with thanks to the many people who helped us, we got there in the end.
We hope that you love the village, the chalet and its location as much as we do. It truly is a special place to enjoy the mountains and all the fun there is to be had in La Clusaz.
